Tamera H. Bennett, President
Tamera Bennett has been
actively involved in the music and entertainment industry for over fifteen years. Prior to
becoming an attorney, she worked for numerous music publishers in Nashville in the fields of
copyright and royalty management and administration.
Tamera continues to operate her copyright,
trademark and entertainment law practice, while serving as the president of Farm to Market
Music.
She has always had a passion for the music
publishing business and formed Farm to Market Music so that she could merge her legal
expertise with her knowledge of music business to create a cost effective vehicle for
assisting songwriters and music publishers.
Prepared with an undergraduate degree in
Recording Industry Studies and a law degree from Texas Wesleyan University School of Law,
Tamera represents clients throughout Texas in her law practice.
Tamera
has been published in the Texas Lawyer on the topic of entertainment
contracts with minors and in the Texas Wesleyan Law Review regarding
exclusive songwriter agreements. Tamera’s article “2003 - The New
Millennium for Copyright” on the topic of termination of transfers
under the 1909 and 1976 Copyright Acts has been selected for publication
in three resources: (1) the materials for the 2003 & 2004 Legal
& Business Aspects of the Film & Music Industries CLE; (2) teaching
materials for the UCLA Music Business course; and (3) the September
2003 California Copyright Conference Newsletter.
Tamera
is the 2005 -2006 Chair of the Entertainment and Sports Law Section
of the State Bar of Texas and she is an adjunct professor at Dallas
Baptist University teaching music publishing. She frequently speaks
to groups throughout Texas on entertainment law and intellectual
property law issues.

Stacy
Johnson, Intellectual Property Rights Manager Stacy
Leigh Johnson, IPR Manager, received her bachelor’s degree from Middle
Tennessee State University in Recording Industry Management with an
emphasis in Business Administration.
While
attending MTSU, she interned with MCA-Nashville’s marketing department,
the National Association of Recording Merchandisers and was employed
as a research assistant to MTSU professor Dr. Thomas Hutchison.
Stacy
serves as the legal administrator for Bennett Law Office. She has
previously worked for music magazine publishers VoxCorp, Inc. (Nashville,
TN) and The Church Music Report (Grapevine, TX). Stacy is a member of the
Texas Chapter of the Recording Academy.
